Pixels of Fury 2019 | NYC
We wanted to tie in this year’s Pixels creative with Shutterstock’s new - It’s not stock. It’s Shutterstock campaign. Combining all of the curated images into a collage, we wanted to present this event in the most fun and appealing way for the city we were born in.
Due to the time of year, we also encouraged the designers to think “villains” and “Halloween”, while we did our part to provide an event landscape ensconced in dark themes and imagery.
New Yorkers, and the industry at large was in attendance, hundreds of people watching designers go toe-to-toe in a skills contest, where the participants were in a bout against the clock, to develop a final visual creation that got the audience’s attention, their hearts, and votes.
As the lead designer, I was responsible for everything, including: email invites, posters, signage, and venue branding for all 2019 events, including the highly anticipated New York City Pixels of Fury contest.
